Fascinating article in today’s Guardian on the link between Alzheimer’s and diet – reinforces a lot of my recent points on the addictive qualities of certain types of food but more importantly introduces Alzerheimer’s as a possible type of Diabetes, “Diabetes 3”, given the role insulin plays. In short, there is a growing belief amongst scientists that dementia could be caused predominantly by the brain’s impaired response to insulin. Worth reading.
